Kedarnath Temple
Kedarnath Temple is a pilgrimage site for hindu, Because it is one of the Jyotirlings of Lord Shiva and part of the Char Dham Yatra of Uttrakhand (along with Badrinath, Gangotri and Yamunotri). It is located at the bank of the Mandakini River in Garhwal Rudraprayag district of Uttrakhand. The temple is located at the high mountain about 3590 meter height from the sea level. '
Its was believed that the temple was built by the pandavas at the time of Mahabharata and later it was revived by the Adi Shankaracharya in the 8th century.

1. How To Reach Kedarnath
1. By Road
Nearest railway Station :- Rishikesh (approx - 220km ) and Haridwar (approx - 240km )
- From railway station take Taxes, Buses to Gaurikund.
2. By Air
Nearest Airport :- Jolly Grant Airport Dehradun (approx - 235km )
- From Airport take Taxes, Buses to Gaurikund.
3. Gaurikund to Kedarnath
From Gaurikund to Kedarnath there was a walking distance of 16 km approx. But you can reach there through several things like Helicopter, Palki, Pony ( Like Horse) etc.
2. Cost & Distance of Helicopter Ride
- Phata Helipad :- (Distance - 31 km) (Timing to reach - 9 minutes) (Cost - 2000 to 3500 one side per person )
- Sersi Helipad :- (Distance - 23 km) (Timing to reach - 11 minutes) (Cost - 2000 to 3500 one side per person )
- Guptkashi Helipad :- (Distance - 45 km) (Timing to reach - 15 minutes) (Cost - 2000 to 3500 one side per person )

3. Registration for Kedarnath
- All pilgrims must register yourself before undertaking the Yatra.
- Your Registration will be verified through the QR code on your Yatra registration.
